The bronze feet are a stylized representation of the point of the makhila, whilst the handles in scarified medlar wood patinated in olive oil were made by Bergara family, expert makhila artisans for 200 years, EPV

THE GALLERY
February 2025 marks a key milestone with the opening of a gallery at 4 Rue Bonaparte, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
This new exhibition space opens the doors to a previously exclusive universe. Designed as a showcase, the gallery offers a unique perspective and an alternative vision of design.
L’Atelier Kostia et l’artiste Charlotte Duallé Bonaparte vous invitent, à travers de nouvelles œuvres, à une immersion au cœur d’une forêt enchantée.
« Promenons-nous dans les bois » explore une nature qui pourrait être sortie tout droit de l’imaginaire de Lewis Carroll, grâce à un travail autour de la couleur, du bronze et de la céramique.
Feuilles, champignons, pommes de pin, mousse et branche brisée : la console, accompagnée de son miroir, évoque un sous-bois onirique.
L’Atelier Kostia complète cette scénographie par un paravent habillé des papiers peints aux motifs “Aristoloche” de la Maison Watts.
Une exposition où les matières et le design font entrer une part du Pays des merveilles au cœur de notre galerie.
